Polyimide heaters (Kapton heaters, also named PI heaters) use polyimide film as outer insulation, the metal foil and metal wire as the internal conductive heating body, which are formed by heat sealing at high temperature and high pressure. Polyimide heaters film has good insulation strength, good dielectric strength, good heat conduction efficiency and good resistance stability, so it is widely used in the field of electric heating.
Polyimide heaters is available in a variety of shapes, sizes and wattage.
The max temperature of the polyimide heater is about 250 ℃ for short time, long time safe use at 150℃. The polyimide heaters can’t be used in water.
